"Speaking at the National Press Club in Washington this week, Mr Akerson, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , told reporters the Holden brand would be supplemented by "iconic" Chevrolets such as the Camaro !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and that Cadillac may be revived."
~24 hours later.
GM's second-in-charge Tim Lee telling News Corp Australia:
"I have no idea what [General Motors CEO Dan Akerson] said but we have no plan to put a right-hand-drive under that bonnet. The Corvette is a Chevrolet, it's not a Holden, it never will be, next question."
STOP TOYING WITH MY EMOTIONS YOU BASTARDS!

Sell the Corvette and Camaro at Holden dealers badged as Chevrolet. Flagship cars under a different brand is a no-no.

That would be the logical thing to do.

The Corvette is a Corvette. Nothing more, nothing less .

Stole the image from the news.com article. Putting a Holden badge on it would be stupid, but selling Chevys and Caddilacs alongside Holden..not so stupid. Especially since HSV will be dead and there will be no V8s or high end luxury models available in Holden's lineup.

I think Cadillac is ready to take on the world with the new ATS and CTS. Corvette and Camaro should be sold everywhere Chevrolet is.

The issue is neither brand are currently sold in Australia, and if it will be financially viable to start selling them in a market that is so overloaded with vehicle choice.

Well no matter what the cars are branded as, the Australian car market it about to change dramatically. You're going to lose the utes and the rwd sedans because you (to my surprise) don't all drive them.
I'd rather see Holden die while it's still on top than become a fwd shell of itself selling rebadged Chevrolets.

Not everyone wants/needs a large car. Holden owns the large car market in Australia, but it's only a small segment of the entire market. Factor in cost and fuel prices and you can see why everyone is buying Mazda 3s.
